About Orchard ICT
After working for an IT training company for four years, David Harris decided to use his skills to go it alone as a contractor. He formed Personal IT Limited in 1999, and then Orchard ICT Limited in 2009.
Dave's initial contract was for a single support role with a major corporation in Basingstoke, looking after users, servers, printers and internet for a public finance initiative (bid). This soon grew to more than half a dozen contracts to support bids around the UK, as well as supporting more traditional users in small companies.
By using cutting edge technologies Orchard ICT can run most contracts using remote access. The experienced team can get direct to the desktop without any extra hardware required by the user. If a site visit is needed this is done within a day or even within hours if the company requests it.
Most clients now hire the hardware direct from Orchard. This is invaluable as it means they don't have to worry about disposing of the equipment at the end of the bid.
Today the company has a large support team dedicated to looking after bids as well as traditional support contracts for both IT and telephony. |
